Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
The Dr. Ali Al-Mur Encyclopedia is a public digital library making Dr. Ali Al-Mur's books, research, studies and articles on nuclear energy, radiation protection and the environment freely available to everyone, without registration.
This site is published by Dr. Ali Al-Mur, who is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Enquiries about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
2. What we do not collect
This comes first because it covers most of your visit. This site:
- uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser;
- has no user accounts, no sign-in and no profiles;
- uses no third-party analytics or tracking of any kind;
- does not record visitors' IP addresses in its logs;
- does not log the search terms you type.
You can browse and search the entire encyclopedia without providing any personal data.
3. The contact form
The only place you provide personal data is the Contact form. It asks for your name, email address, phone number with country code, the type of enquiry, a subject and your message.
None of this is stored in any database of ours. Your message is turned directly into an email, and a reference number is generated so it can be shown to you and included in that email for later reference. The site keeps no copy.
Server logs contain none of your name, email, phone, subject or message — only the reference number, the enquiry type and whether sending succeeded.
4. Who else processes your data
Three services are involved in running this site:
- Cloudflare — all traffic passes through its network before reaching our server, for protection and performance.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — the check that protects the contact form from automated submissions. When you submit, your IP address is sent to Cloudflare for that verification.
- Brevo — the mail service that delivers your message to our mailbox. The content of your message passes through it.
Limited technical data may be processed by the service providers necessary to operate the site, protect it and deliver email. These providers are not used to sell data or to build advertising profiles. Depending on each provider's infrastructure, this processing may take place outside Jordan.
5. Technical measurements
To measure the site's speed and stability we collect three technical signals, sent to our own server — never to a third party:
- a count of page views;
- loading and responsiveness performance figures;
- a counter of errors occurring in the browser.
These signals carry no identifier. None is generated and none is derived. They do not include your browser type, where you came from, the full page address, or the text of any error. The page is reduced to a broad class (such as "a book page") and the language is noted — nothing else. These measurements therefore cannot be tied to a person or a browsing session.
6. Server logs and retention
We keep operational logs for security and fault-finding for 30 days, after which they are deleted automatically. These logs do not contain visitors' IP addresses.
Emails received through the contact form are kept for as long as is necessary to respond to the enquiry, to follow it up, and for legitimate administrative purposes. They may be kept for longer where there is a legitimate legal or documentary need. Access to this mailbox is limited to Dr. Ali Al-Mur.
7. Your rights
The personal data described in this policy is handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law in force in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. If you wish to make a request concerning your personal data, write to [email protected] and your request will be considered in accordance with applicable Jordanian law.
8. Children
The encyclopedia is a general, openly accessible public site and sets no special minimum age for browsing it. Personal data is requested only through the contact form described above.
9. Contacting us about privacy
For any question or request concerning this policy or your personal data, write to [email protected].
10. Updates to this policy
This page may be updated when the way the site works changes. The date it was last updated appears at the foot of the page.
